My experience includes, but is not limited to, automobile, tractor-trailer, and school bus accidents; premises security and slip and falls; industrial explosions and fires; products such as firearms, farm machinery, construction equipment, automobiles and SUVs; consumer loan transactions and practices; insurance claims under coverages of both business and personal policies; managed health care claims and practices; contract and business disputes; eminent domain; and zoning.
I have represented individuals and companies in regard to disputes in various fields of business, including: banking; consumer finance; energy; fitness; industrial processes; inspection services; insurance; managed healthcare; manufacture and distribution of products; trucking and transportation; and vehicle and equipment rental.
I have achieved an AV peer review rating, the highest rating obtainable for legal ability and ethics, through the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory, and I also am included in the Directory of Pre-eminent Attorneys published by Martindale Hubbell.
I was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Mississippi in 1968. After serving three years on active duty as an officer in the United States Navy, I returned to the University and earned my Juris Doctor degree from its School of Law in 1974. In law school, I was a member and served as a Research Editor and an Associate Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal, and in my senior year, I served as Chairman of the Law School Honor Council.
